EVENT: Laser Radial Worlds (23-28 February 2020)

VENUE: Sandringham, Melbourne, Australia

HEADLINES:

  • Ali Young only Brit in 110-boat fleet
  • Light 6 knot wind before wind began to swing wildly
  • Only one race completed out of a possible two. Boats split across two fleets.
  • Young sits in 40th overall finishing 21st in her race

“Not my best start to a regatta. It was tricky conditions but poor starting meant I didn’t make my own luck. Some elements of the race were ok. It’s useful that we can identify the starting as an error but it’s doubtful that we can solve that in the next 24 hours.”
