The British Sailing Team has renewed its long-standing partnership with world-leading performance rope manufacturer Marlow.

Marlow has been an official supplier to the British Sailing Team for the last five Olympic cycles, and the relationship is now set to continue through to Paris 2024.

Britain’s Olympic sailors enjoyed a stellar Tokyo 2020, coming home with three golds, a silver and a bronze. The success solidified the team’s place at the top of the sailing medal table for the fifth time in six Olympics, and also saw it surpass the USA’s record of the most medals ever won in Olympic sailing.

Mark Robinson, the RYA’s Olympic Performance Manager, said: “We’re delighted to have Marlow onboard again as an official supplier as we head full speed towards Paris 2024.

“In our quest to remain the world’s top Olympic sailing nation it’s vital that the brands we work with are of the highest quality and share our values of collaboration and innovation. Marlow completely fit the bill, and we look forward to continuing our relationship.”

Paul Honess, Leisure Marine Sales Director at Marlow, added: “We are proud to be continuing our long-standing relationship with the British Sailing Team. We have worked closely with them for many years, developing high-performance ropes to ensure the best quality product is used on-board to help keep the athletes at the top of their game.

“We are looking forward to seeing what the next two years bring and working with the team on developing new lines for the new exciting classes having their debut at Paris 2024.”
